Grand Opening 2025

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating the grand opening of 400 China Basin in Mission Bay!

Your presence made this milestone even more meaningful, and we’re so grateful to have shared this special day with community members, partners, and new residents. Together, we honored the vision of creating beautiful, below-market-rate homes where sophistication meets affordability. Here’s to the start of a vibrant new chapter at 400 China Basin!

400 China Basin shows us that infill housing can foster economic revitalization and access to transit, amenities, and opportunity – and that such transformation does not have to come at the cost of displacement. The State is proud to have provided Infill Infrastructure Grant funding towards more housing that that is equitable, affordable, and accessible to all Californians.
— Christina Mun | Deputy Secretary, Housing Finance, BCSA/California Housing and Community Development
It is extremely rate to be part of developing a building that brings together all of the elements of 400 China Basin Condominiums: a building developed by an all African-American development team; a building that is providing homeownership opportunities for Certificate of Preference holders, or those displaced or otherwise impacted by past actions of the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency; and an “affordable housing” development on San Francisco’s waterfront that rivals its market rate counterparts. I am so proud to be part of the team that successfully delivered this truly special development.
