The Board of Directors has engaged the law firm of Hughes, Gill, Cochrane and Tinetti to represent the HOA on legal matters. With 131 units closed and approximately 90% of homeowners moved in, the Board has invited HOA attorney Edith Murphy to lead a Town Hall Meeting for all 400 China Basin homeowners to provide orientation and training on key community topics, such as:

• The respective roles of management, the Board, and homeowners

• An overview of the governing documents 

• Unit owner responsibility versus common area responsibility

• An orientation to the association's finances, including the budgeting process, the reserve fund, and the balance between HOA dues and requests for additional services

• Community conduct expectations, including neighbor relations and respectful communication
